Jon's Bio

Jon Podein is the Worship Minister at the Vaughn Park Church of Christ in Montgomery, Al.  After spending nearly a decade working in Calhoun, Ga, Jon returned to Montgomery to be the Assistant Dean of Spiritual Life at Faulkner University, where he helped transform daily chapel and the campus ministry into a vibrant part of the social and spiritual life on campus. He continues to serves as an adjunct professor of Bible at Faulkner. He has been working in Ministry for the last 20 years both in Youth and Family and Pulpit Ministry respectively, with churches in Alabama and Georgia. Jon has two daughters, Kaytlyn (19), who is currently a Freshman at Auburn University, and Kristin (14), who is currently a Freshman at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Al.

Jon is given many opportunities each year to speak and lead singing at various youth rallies, conferences, and lectureships throughout the United States, most notably Challenge Youth Conference (CYC) and Exposure Youth Camp. He serves on the Board of Directors for Exposure Youth Camp, Adventures in Ministry, and Inspire Youth Conference. Jon is also one of the host of the weekly “Jon and Paul Show.”

Jon holds a BA in Biblical Studies and a MA in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in New Testament from Faulkner University in Montgomery, Al. He plans to begin his Ph.D. in Christian Preaching at Southern Seminary in Louisville, Ky. in January 2019.

FAULKNER UNIVERSITY...........Graduated in 2002 with a BA in Biblical Studies
